This picture marked the start of something amazing!
It was taken as soon as I woke up two days ago, on my 48th birthday.
The same day Champions Training started.
The same day my piano sold…the one I have had since I was 14.
The same day I had a meeting to announce our lives are shifting yet again, and I had to say goodbye.
I am still in a season of massive acceleration. Perhaps it feels that way simply because there was a lot of movement necessary to bring me into alignment with God’s purposes. I suppose one can get pretty far off course in nearly a half century if one is not adept at navigation according to a map.
4 is the number of creation.
8 is the number of new beginnings.
    So…

I am dropping more things. Physical things, emotional things, spiritual things…with the words of Paul ringing in my head almost constantly:
“For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish in order that I may gain Christ…” Phil. 3:8
I am pressing onward and in; the prize being a closer relationship with the one who loves me best in order that, following in the footsteps of those who have gone before, I may share God’s great love with others in the way he made me to do so. I am a scroll within the scroll of Christ, written on his heart. I intend to complete the chapter written for me that he will get his full reward.

The words to the song “Mercy” by Amanda Cook create a constant ‘go’ rhythm in my heart, and serve as a soundtrack to my birthday sunrise. I hope they are an encouragement to you too:

    “So I will wake
    And spend my days
Knowing the One who has raised me up
    From death to life
    From wrong to right
    You’re making all things beautiful”

Thanks Connie (@conjenningsaol-com) for introducing me to that song.

Blessings TWC family! I’m so grateful for you all.

    • Your writing is as beautiful as your paintings and you Dear Meagan Blessing! So excited and thrilled you are joining us on this Champions Training! You will never look the same or go back to the way things were before. You are stepping into a New Territory, will discover new identity statements, inheritance, authority and opening up space for others to follow! I am humbled and in awe of all that God will do! Here we go!

      • As we start this wonderful adventure in Champions Training Meagan Blessing, listen to Burn the Ships by King & Country. (I’ll try to post but now sure it will work)

      • It does my heart good to read each of your beautiful messages. I too find myself in a shifting time of change and distraction as I take on the care and oversight of my brother with early onset dementia. He has just moved into a little apartment on our property. I have my 93 yo mother living here as well so I am resting in the Lord for now to retain my own independent joy in Him and to draw strength and courage. This focus journey will be my place to draw near.

        • And Meagan, I love your artwork – so soft and beautiful. Is it digital or true watercolor? I am an artist too – a hobby when I have time, but occasionally I sell a bit of my work.

        • Blessings on your journey, Lyn! Papa has so many amazing things for you. You might ask him which fruit(s) of the spirit he is developing in you through these circumstances. They are likely clues to what is needed for the next phase of fulfilling your destiny.

Thank you for your kind comment about my art! That is another God thing. Long story:) I paint with oils. I tend to use very thin washes and lots of layers, which is unusual for today’s oil painters. You are correct that the technique is more like watercolor. I am ‘self taught’ (Holy Spirit taught, really) and I started with watercolor. I moved to oil for the marketability aspects of the medium. I love that you paint too! Ask Holy Spirit to co-create with you and show you what he is working through you as you create your paintings. 😉
