How do we move from glory to glory? It’s a journey to release, embrace and courageously stepping into more.

We release the ways of thinking (stinkin’ thinkin’) that don’t align with God’s heart. We let go of false understanding and beliefs as we learn to be with God through scripture and relationship with Him. We allow wrong motivations to die. These motivations of earning God’s love, performing to get something or replacing “pleasing people” over pleasing His heart are forms of godliness that fall to the ground in heaven.

We embrace all God has for us (His treasures and abundance). He calls us into greater purity, character, humility, and joy. None of these things are things we can attain on our own. They only come through the choices we make to accept what God has on offer and through a desire to go low before Him. As we pour out our lives before Him, room is made for His glory to enter and transform us.

2 Corinthians 3:18 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Through the process of releasing and embracing, God moves in our lives. His hand is not too short and we are not too far gone for God to bring a transformative work in our lives. As He does, we recognize a shift. We have changed. In that process, a door opens before us.

The door is an invitation. It invites us to shift from one more limited understanding of His glory to a more expanded life in His glory.  We have the choice to embrace this change or turn away from it. God grants us the invitation to see Him become more established in our lives. Our walk with God is meant to be an expanding partnership of relational connection with Him.

This is where we enter that door and courageously step into the transformation. Each step of our journey requires courage. To release things to God, we have to have the courage to look within and face things of our past and present. To embrace new things, we need the courage to accept something different than what we knew. We step into the unknown, completely trusting God and learning to trust who we are becoming in that process.

As the courage to take each step is granted by the Lord, we learn to have a life of trust, hope and faith in Him. It’s in this place we can let go of what was and eagerly anticipate what is and is to come. We are changed. We embrace change and we courageously step through the door of invitation into His greater glory.
